גלעד אלפר הוא מומחה כלכלי, חבר לשעבר במועצה המייעצת של שר האוצר ואנליסט פיננסי מזה כ-20 שנה. היה בין המייסדים של חברת סטרט-אפ, עבד בקומרצבנק (לונדון) ובמריל לינץ’ (ניו יורק), וכיום הוא עובד בשוק ההון. גלעד הוא בוגר בהצטיינות של החוג לכלכלה באוניברסיטת ת”א ויש לו תואר MBA מהבי”ס לכלכלה ומנהל עסקים בנורווגיה (NHH).
